Statement on Policies,T&C’s and Safeguarding
Find all of our new policies, procedures and safeguarding measures at - www.northwrestling.co.uk
Following in the footsteps of other promotions in British Wrestling, we have taken steps to formalise and create a number of different policies and procedures. We have taken advice from Equity in regards to providing a safe and supportive place of work for the many independent contractors we use. In the light of Speaking Out, we have met with and taken advice from Ann Craft Trust in regards to putting Safeguarding measures and protocols in place.
You may or may not know that NORTH Wrestling is ran solely by me, Andrew Bowers. I have taken an iHASCO course in Safeguarding Adults (Level 2) and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. I continue to be our Safeguarding lead, and all incidents should be reported directly to me. My wife, Jade, will be operating as my Deputy. She has also completed the same training as I have.
Whilst we are committed to a safe and fair working environment, we understand the potential for conflict. So, we are looking for an External Safeguarding Representative, for any incidents that require it. Please contact us at andrew@northwrestling.co.uk or via our social media DMs to put yourself forward for the role.
We have also taken on your feedback and created a Fan Code of Conduct. Everyone who purchases a ticket agrees to commit to this.
As part of this feedback, we will be releasing a full list of everyone working on the show. There will be a page for Staff, and there will be a page for Wrestlers.
IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS - avoid reading that page. If you want to review our roster and crew, please feel free to navigate to https://www.northwrestling.co.uk/shows, click the relevant show and view from there.
We are committed to creating a safer industry and wider wrestling community. These policies will be reviewed continuously, and if there are any gaps, we ask for support and patience whilst we fill them.
We would also like to thank British Wrestling Revolution, CATCH Pro-Wrestling, PROGRESS Wrestling and RIPTIDE Wrestling for opening their lines of communication for discussion and advice over the last 12 months. We open our policies and procedures to other promotions and encourage other promoters and wrestlers to get in touch with us to begin sharing knowledge, and working together.
